Perlis Mountain Bike Club (hereinafter known as Perlis MTB Club) under the Patronage of the program, DYTM Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni  Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (Raja Muda Perlis) in collaboration with the Perlis State Government under the Exco of Tourism and Health and the Exco of Youth, Sports, Culture, Arts, Human Resources and Unity, proudly announced the Perlis Mountain Bike Jamboree 2010 which will be held on 14^th of March, 2010. This program is the first to be held in Perlis although there were numerous cycling programs involving large scale participants were held in Perlis annually such as the Perlis Open which was more toward on-road cycling and racing.

Off-road mountain biking with the jamboree concept is the first program to be held in the magnificent state of Perlis. We anticipate this program will appeal to riders of mountain bike to visit the wonderful hill state of Perlis and participate in this program as well as to enjoy the panoramic view of the Perlis. More than a thousand participants are expected to assemble at the campus of Polytechnic Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, Ulu Pauh, the main venue of Perlis MTB Jamboree 2010.

The main objective of this jamboree is to gather mountain bikers nationwide plus the fans of mountain bike in the neighboring country, Thailand to get acquainted and enjoy cycling in the beautiful scenery along the track of hills and nature that are still well preserved. Moreover, we are hoping this jamboree will be able to promote Perlis as a tourist destination based on sports tourism.

RIDE UP NORTH is the tagline of the sole program that has its own uniqueness as the most northern state in Peninsular Malaysia which has three international gateways with Thailand. Cycling, socializing, off-road, nature, hills, tough and harmony become the important elements to the tagline itself.

We are very confident Perlis MTB Jamboree 2010 will carve its own history and will leave unforgettable memories to the participants and the organizers of the program. Perlis MTB Jamboree will be receiving great impact with the involvement of all parties in the organizations especially with the Assent DYTM Majesty Raja Muda Perlis becoming the patronage of the program thus putting this event to a new level, unique and full of symbolic to the sports mountain bike itself. The supports and concerns by the Exco of Tourism and Health , YB Dato Ahmad Bakri Ali and YB Abdul Jamil Saad as the Exco of Youth, Sports, Culture, Arts, Human Resources and Solidarity, government agencies, the state of Perlis and Persekutuan to make this program a success will inspired not only the club but the whole fan of mountain biking.
